The item is brand new in the original packaging. There is a small hole in the plastic at the back where the headphones are stored. The previous owner was a smoker, so please be aware if you are sensitive to scents. I personally don't think the packaging carries too much of the cigarette smell, but the hole in the plastic might make the item inside smell like it, so please be aware before purchasing.
